Last night I cut the light off in my bedroom, hit the switch, and was in the bed before the room was dark.

But somewhere along the line you changed, you stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you youre no good, and when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame, like a big shadow. Let me tell you something you already know, the world aint all sunshine and rainbows, its a very mean and nasty place and I dont care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life; but it aint about how hard you hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward. Thats how winning is done.

Cause if youre willin to go through all the battling you gotta go through to get to where you wanna get, whos got the right to stop you. I mean maybe some of you guys got something you never finished, something you really want to do, something you never said to somebody, something. And youre told no even after you pay your dues, whos got the right to tell you that, who? Nobody. Its your right to listen to your gut, it aint nobodys right to say no, after you earn the right to be where you want to be and do what you want to do.

Now if you know what youre worth, then go out and get what youre worth. But youve gotta be willing to take the hits. And not pointing fingers saying you aint where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that aint you! Youre better than that!

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Rocky Balboa's Signature Healthy Muscle Building Smoothie

Check out this cool and funny video this dude did while being inspired by the Rocky flicks. I think deep down a lot, probably most, of us have done something either in our fitness training and/or nutrition that resembles what we've seen on the silver screen. I know I for years have worked out to the Rocky 4 training montage soundtrack. LOL

Hey it's pretty good at motivating me and when it plays I visualize what Rocky and Drago were doing and it makes me work even harder. So I guess it serves its intended purpose. Anyway

I came across a great article to a while ago by Dr. John Claydon and
it looks very good on explaining the great benefits of eating raw eggs. 
I do this pretty much every day and if you read on
Dr. Mercola has some great advice regarding eating raw eggs as well
as the quick testing methods for a healthy or unhealthy egg.  Sick eggs
only come from sick chickens. 1 in 30,000 eggs contains salmonella
and the chances of you eating that many in your life are very slim.

How I eat my raw eggs is like this:

Bob Garon's Signature Healthy Muscle Recovery Smoothie

1.  One Vita-mix Blender, which by the way is THE BEST blender on the market today... PERIOD.

2. Fill the Vita-mix with 1 cup of filtered H2O

3.  Toss in a couple pieces of fruit (I prefer a half a cup of pineapple and some berries) alongside 1 tspn of virgin coconut oil and 2 tblspns of raw cacao powder.

4.  Wait to pour in the eggs cause the egg protein is very fragile and will be destroyed from the blades.

5.  Blend the fruit, coconut oil & water together for a minute or so.

6. Crack & pour in 4-5 raw eggs and blend very gently for 2-3 seconds.

7. Pour contents into a big tall glass and enjoy these VERY healthy &
yummy foods.

Honestly this may seem like it will not taste good simply because of your image of Rocky Balboa drinking a plain glass filled to the brim with nothing but raw eggs, but trust me and give it a shot.
I know, know, know you will love it. It actually tastes kinda like chocolate milk. Mmmm... yummy!

What You Should Drink For Post Workout Recovery

I've been doing something for quite a while now that has been working so well.

I blend 1 cup of organic, unsweetened coconut milk or raw milk with 1 cup of pineapple and 2 tablespoons of organic 100% cacao powder or cacao nibs, 1 teaspoon of maca root powder, and 1-2 tblspns of chia seeds. After that you can add some raw pasture (real cage-free) eggs to the mix like in my Rocky Balboa Muscle Building Smoothie. If you are vegan simply toss in walnuts or almonds in place of the eggs.
The pineapple has an enzyme in it called Bromelian. Bromelian breaks down proteins as well as is anti-inflammatory. Both are great benefits that I want. It also has just enough natural sugar to sweeten the shake so that the chocolate isn't as bitter.
You can pick up a bag of Navitas Naturals cacao powder at Whole Foods, Fruitful Yield, or other health food stores. It has ZERO sugars in it.

This is soooooo good tasting and very, very beneficial for overall recovery cause of the high antioxidants, enzymes, protein, and super healthy fats. Personally I've experienced great results on this recovery smoothie and it's also much, much cheaper than most anything else. Many of the old school strong men, like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Big Lou Ferrigno, used to drink chocolate milk after their workouts. So this is something I've known about for a while and it definitely works. Sometimes the best things are the simpliest things. No need for fancy and expensive supplements. Stick with what works and always stick with the basics.
