Lisa Garon Is An Outlaw Kettlebell Lifter

Lisa Garon was highlighted as a top U.S. Kettlebell sportsman, sportsperson, sportswoman (not sure which is appropriate LOL). Check out the featured article Ken Whetham put up on his North American Outlaw Kettlebell Club blog and show Lisa some love & support with a nice comment: Lisa Garon Outlaw Article HERE. Lisa really inspires me with how far she's come in such a short dedicated time. Her commitment to herself and her weekly routine is how this is all possible. When I first met her she didn't even go to the gym and to think about her eating anything healthy was like asking a horse to moo. LOL

She smoked, drank and partied here and there, but one day just decided it was time to get away from that life wrecking habit and create better ones. So she dropped over 30lbs and hasn't look back since. Who would have thought this little bowling ball with a handle on it would change her, and the lives of others, so much.

Primal Meat Sauce & Yummy Grain-free Spaghetti

Here's a REALLY yummy recipe for you that one of my clients found while looking for grain free dishes for her family. Thanks to the Nutty Kitchen blog for bringing this to us.

Primal Meat Sauce

Ingredients

2 large shallots, sliced

2 medium green onions, sliced

1/8 cup unrefined coconut oil

2 Serrano chilies, seeds in

1 medium red bell pepper, coarsely chopped

2 small tomatoes, chopped

1 teaspoon marjoram, ground in your palm

3 pinches Turkish cumin

1 teaspoon caraway seed(pick up at most grocery stores)

2 pinches Himalayan to taste

6 ounces tomato paste (only ingredient is tomatoes)

6 ounces water

2 lbs Grass-Fed Ground Beef

2 tablespoons Red wine vinegar

2 baby Portobello mushrooms, coarsely chopped

and…

1 bay leaf

Instructions

1. Heat coconut oil on medium-high and add shallots and green onions – brown until glossy golden.

2. Add tomatoes, bell pepper, bay leaf and chilies.

3. Saute for about 5 minutes, and add mushrooms, marjoram, cumin, and caraway seed; continue to cook for another minute or two, stirring all ingredients well.

4. Add beef. Be sure to break up any large chunks of meat so to ensure that spices and flavors can penetrate through the beef.

5. Once the beef is slightly browned, add sea salt and stir well.

6. Now add the tomato paste and stir in water.

7. Stir well, add vinegar, stir well once more, cover, and reduce heat to the lowest possible.

8. Simmer for 30 minutes and serve with your favorite side dish. Note: Modify spices or ingredients to taste after simmer time is up.

This is great on top of zucchini and/or squash spaghetti for a real grain free dish that is guilt free, very nutritious, and health promoting for your body. I don't know anyone who doesn't love the energy from this meal.

Some Ladies of Synergy Kettlebell Training

Honestly I think women are the toughest of the sexes. Seriously and I'm NOT just saying this because my wife and mother read my blog.  I'm being real here.  This is something I've known for a very long time and love watching them train kettlebells cause they improve so fast. It's not like other workouts cause every day is a new day and new workout altogether. In fact at Synergy Kettlebell Training we don't even call them "workouts", but your fat blasters and get stronger blasters. That's how it should be done. Check out one that we did the other day.

 

Women really do work harder than men do when it comes to fitness training.  At Synergy Kettlebell Training we have an awesome time blasting fat and getting stronger every day. Our motto is: Fitness Has Nothing To Do With Looking Good AND Looking Good Is Just A Side Effect To Being Healthy.

I can tell you that we definitely all love those side effects and we get them as a direct result of dedicated hard work. I'm so excited and privileged to work every day with the most beautiful and hardest working ladies in the Fox Valley area. Together they work their butts off in an amazing kettlebell fitness experience like no other.  Fat doesn't stand a chance when you use the proven formula for results.
